Action\u00a010.01.04. “Reduction of water pollution from agricultural activity” (Denitrification)<\/p>\n
The main objective of the action is to reduce water pollution both from nitrate ions and from other potentially polluting inputs (phosphate ions, plant protection products). The action contributes to priority 4 – “Restoration, conservation and enhancement of ecosystems linked to agriculture and forestry”.<\/p>\n
Intervention area:
\nThe action applies to the 30 areas, which have been characterized as vulnerable to nitrate pollution of agricultural origin, based on nos. 19652\/1906\/1999 (Government Gazette B\u0384 1575), 20419\/2522\/2001 (Government Gazette B\u0384 1212), 24838\/1400\/\u0395103\/2008 (Government Gazette B\u03841132), 106253\/2010 (Government Gazette B\u03841843), 190126\/ 2013 (Government Gazette \u0392\u0384983) and 147070\/2014 (Government Gazette \u0392\u03843224) KYA as well as in the following areas of important wetlands:
\n1. Prespa National Park,
\n2. Amvrakiko wetlands,
\n3. Lake Pamvotida National Park of Ioannina,
\n4. National Park of Messolonghi \u2013 Aitoliko lagoons,
\n5. Lakes Trichonida \u2013 Lysimachia, Lake Ozeros,
\n6. Delta Nestos and
\n7. Lakes of North Macedonia: Vegoritis, Cheimaditis, Petron and Zazaris.<\/p>\n
The eligibility of the plots, in terms of the intervention area, will be reflected in the 2017 Single Aid Application (EAA).<\/p>\n
Credits \u2013 Funding:<\/p>\n
The public expenditure of this action amounts to the indicative amount of 177,000,000 euros, and is co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development within the framework of the Rural Development Program 2014 – 2020.
\n– Beneficiaries are farmers, natural or legal persons or groups thereof, who own agricultural land.
\n– The plots of land of the farm that will be included in the context of the 1st Call of the action, must meet the following eligibility criteria:<\/p>\n
to be declared in the Single Aid Application (EAA) of the interested party for the year 2017, which will be used as a reference application. In the case of permanent plantations (tree crops), the plots to be included must be declared in the EAE 2017 of the interested party with tree crops eligible for the commitment
\nbe declared in the EAE 2017 as irrigated (at field level and not at crop level)
\nbe within the intervention areas
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0for the cultivation group “Olive”, the minimum planting density of the olive plots to be included is at least 80 olive trees per hectare (Ha), in order to ensure that it is a systematic olive grove.<\/p>\n
